Doug Baker, current IMP board chair, is offering a unique clinician's retreat in southern New Hampshire this fall to explore contemplative practice in nature, walking meditation, and sitting practice as supportive of both personal practice and clinical practice.

Doug has been leading select clients on individual and group mindfulness, nature and therapy immersion retreats for about 15 years. For the first time, a similar retreat is being offered for clinicians.

The process will include extended periods of social silence, allowing each yogi to attend deeply to their inner experience. It will include a daily talk (or two) by Doug on Buddhist psychology, mindful awareness, and clinical practice from a contemplative perspective, and some limited group discussion time. There will be long walks on the local dirt roads into nature areas, including a beaver pond, where we will practice harmonizing with the natural elements in shared silence and reverence.

Maximum participants will be 15, to maintain a personal, intimate atmosphere.

About the Venue:

Bethel Farm, is a small, family-run non-profit 501C3, an organic farm, and yoga and meditation retreat center located in Hillsborough, NH. Doug has been leading retreats there for 10+ years. It's a heartfelt place, a gem.

The accommodations are somewhat "rustic" but quite comfortable and lovely. The retreat building is heated by wood stoves, and is overall an expression of mindful simplicity.
